On September 19, at 9:30 AM, Sgt. Joe Carr was addressing a
traffic concern near the newly constructed PATH station when a worker from the nearby Dunkin Donuts alerted him to a male who was attempting to steal a
bicycle from the bike rack outside the PATH. Sgt. Carr stopped the actor as he walked from the area. A witness identified the suspect and pointed
out that he had been using a metal object to pry the chain from the bike. The male, 51, from Harrison was arrested and
charged with attempted theft and related crimes.
