Public Works

The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining the towns' public infrastructure. These responsibilities include keeping our streets clean, snow removal, landscaping, construction, upkeep of all road signs, traffic lights, sewerage, as well as many other responsibilities. We also have a maintenance shop where our mechanics maintain the town vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, senior buses, etc. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 973-268-2296.

Attention Harrison Residents

The Town of Harrison would like to make residents aware of the importance of recycling and the proper procedures that must be followed. All household garbage must be kept separate from recycled materials. Please contact the Health Department (973-268-2441) or the Department of Public Works (973-268-2296) during normal business hours.
