On October 11, 2019, at approximately 2 PM, PO Murphy was dispatched to the
400 block of Harrison Avenue on a report of a stolen bicycle. PO Murphy met
with the victim who stated that he followed the individual who took his bike to
the residence where the bike was secured inside. PO Murphy was able to
identify the suspect from prior police interaction based on the description
from the victim. Police were granted access onto the property where they
observed Burglary Tool’s. After speaking to the suspect, he admitted to
stealing the bicycle. The 31 year old male was placed under arrest and
turned over to the Hudson County Jail.
