On 01/02/2023 at approximately 1234 hours, HPD was dispatched to QuickChek (400 Bergen Street) on a report of a residentially challenged male causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, officer noticed the individual in question eating food that he could not pay for. The manager of the establishment stated that she did not want to press charges at this time. A check of the suspect information through dispatch showed an active warrant out of Newark for $3000 and another one for $350. The suspect was then arrested and transported to HPD Headquarters where he was shortly then released with a new court date.
