On October 2, 2019, at approximately 11:30 PM, PO Murphy and PO Lecca were conducting a check of the Riverwalk located behind the Hampton Inn. Police observed an individual immediately stand up and become very nervous upon observing the police presence. Police spoke to the individual who consistently stated that he “was on the run” and that he “got involved with the wrong people.” A warrant check of the 39 year old male confirmed that he had two active warrants out of Newark, NJ for a total of $900. The individual was placed under arrest. He was released from police custody with a future court date for his warrants.
