PUBLIC NOTICE – SNOW EMERGENCY PARKING RESTRICTIONS
This message is from Mayor James A. Fife and the Harrison Town Council.
Due to a winter storm forecast for our area, the Harrison Police Department and the Department of Public Works are requesting residents’ cooperation during this snow emergency.
There will be NO PARKING on the following streets beginning Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 8:00 AM until further notice:
Harrison Avenue – from 2nd Street to Schuyler Avenue
Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard – from Bergen Street to Scott Mobus Place
These parking restrictions are necessary to allow for effective snow removal and to ensure streets remain accessible for emergency vehicles, pedestrians, and general traffic.
The Harrison Police Department will strictly enforce this parking restriction. Any vehicles found in violation will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense — no exceptions. Residents should wait until snow has been fully removed curb to curb before parking on these streets.
Free parking for residents with a valid resident parking permit will be available at the Harrison Parking Garage, 890 South 3rd Street, beginning Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
For parking-related questions, please contact the Department of Public Works at 973-268-2468. For continued snow removal updates, visit www.townofharrisonnj.com or register to receive all-call notifications on the website under Alerts and Notifications.
Thank you for your cooperation.
