ACCELERATED TAX SALE
As of the 11th day of November, 2020 unpaid taxes, interest and other Municipal charges for the current year are eligible for tax sale. Unpaid taxes, interest and other Municipal charges become a lien. The Collector shall enforce the lien through a publicly held tax sale. The tax sale will be held in the Municipal Council Chambers on December 16, 2020 at 11:00 am.
All bidders must pre-register and provide a W-9 both with original signatures to the Tax Collector’s Office. Make sure all information on the registration sheet is correct and how you would want it on the tax sale certificate.
Properties included in the tax sale will be advertised in the Jersey Journal newspaper on December 2nd and December 9th, 2020. The list will also be posted on this website. If a property is included in our tax sale, a lien will be placed against it. You must contact our office for a redemption statement.
If you have a mortgage company escrowing taxes, contact them immediately regarding delinquencies.
Bidders Packet
All bidder’s must be pre-registered to enter the building. Registration must be submitted by December 15th. At this time, the Tax Sale will be held inside the Municipal Council Chambers. Entrance to our building will be through the Police Department. Every bidder attending must get their temperature checked and must have a mask on.
