When she returned to the vehicle, an unknown male was in her car attempting to steal it. She opened the driver’s door and began to struggle with the actor who pulled out into traffic with the victim still clinging to the vehicle. She continued to struggle with the thief causing him to strike at least two passing cars, until he had no choice but to pull over. He fled the scene on foot while she made contact with the police. While police were rendering aid to the victim and searching for the suspect, he stole another running vehicle from the Bergen Street Mall while the victim was in Dunkin Donuts.
